First Steps Nursery School is always looking for qualified staff to enhance our program.

Minimum qualifications for applicants to be eligible for employment are as follows:

• Positive attitude
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Fingerprinting for background check
• Physical Examination
• 3 written references
• Continuing education on a yearly basis of at least 15 clock hours
• Must love to work with children

Early Childhood Assistant Teacher Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• One year of experience

Early Childhood Teacher Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Current CDA (subject to review)

In addition you will need 60 credit hours from an accredited college/university with 6 hours in ECE or one year of child development experience and 30 credit hours from an accredited college/university with 6 hours in ECE or a current CDA (subject to review).
