“Our son had been going to First Steps since he was 10 weeks old. Recently we had to unenroll him since we were moving and we regret having to do so. The teachers are great, the staff is great, and our son learned so much during his time at this school. What my wife and I loved most about First Steps was that the kids were always learning. They were always engaged in some sort of fun activity. The teachers are interactive w/ the children and care about each and every student. I only wish that we could find another day care like First Steps and I wish they were closer because we would definately send our child back. So, if you are looking for a wonderful place to send your child, along w/ a very reasonable rate, send them to First Steps!“

Preschool (3 years to 4 years)
The older children have more structure in their day. They will also receive breakfast, 2 snacks and a catered lunch. The morning consists of a curriculum program that is tailored to each classroom, which consists of art, fine motor, gross motor, language, calendar, music, dramatic play, science, math, and manipulative toys. (A more detailed listing of the schedule is posted in each classroom for parent review.) Each of these areas will help the child develop skills that will prepare them for school. Always remember that the many sheets that come home from school are important to them and the learning is done from the process not the product. The curriculum that we use will have weekly reports that are sent home. It is important to review these letters because it will have requests for supplies and the dates that they are needed. We encourage the parents to ask questions and be involved in what we do daily. These children are encouraged to have good dental hygiene and are allowed to bring in a labeled toothbrush and toothpaste so that they can brush after meals.
